In addition, all students and full-time employees have access to an optional install of the local desktop Office client. More details on how to use each of these options is below.

We strongly recommend all users set up OneDrive for Business to sync to their local desktop (Click here for instructions).
This will allow you to have a local copy of your documents which are stored in OneDrive and be able to both work with files in the Office Web Apps as well as save new files to your OneDrive from email or other sources.
Office File Support for Students and Full-time Faculty/Staff
LETU provides Microsoft Office Desktop apps to every Student, and Full-time Faculty and Staff member for use on up to five personally owned devices (PC, Mac, Android, and iOS - including iPad). This means the latest version of the full Office productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more are available for offline and online use for as long as we and Microsoft continue to provide this software option.
- Install on up to 5 personally-owned devices
- Use with OneDrive for Business (Click here for more guidelines on the use of OneDrive for Business.)
- This software should not be installed on any LETU-owned device. It is only for use on personal devices. If you need and do not have the latest version of Office on your LETU-owned device, please visit https://servicedesk.letu.edu for assistance.
To get Office installed on your personal device follow these simple steps:
1. For PC and Mac:

- Visit http://o365.letu.edu
- Sign in with your LETU email address and your password (you must use your full email address to login (i.e. JaneSmith@letu.edu, not simply JaneSmith)
- Click the “Install Now” button to install the Office suite on your current device, or see below for mobile apps.
2. For iOS and Android:

- Download from your app store or click here for all mobile options:
- Sign in with your LETU email address as above credentials for full editing capability
Office File Support for Adjuncts and LETU Associates
LETU provides Microsoft Office Web applications for adjuncts and LETU Associates. This includes access to web versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote which can be used to view and edit files.
- Visit http://o365.letu.edu
- Sign in with your LETU email address and your password (you must use your full email address to login (i.e. JaneSmith@letu.edu, not simply JaneSmith)
- Setup OneDrive to sync to your desktop as recommended above (Click here for instructions). Once OneDrive is setup to sync to your local desktop, you can save files you receive or create in your OneDrive library and edit them in the Office Web Apps.
- If you open attachments from directly in the LETU Webmail app, office documents should open in the Web App for that file type (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) by default.
