⚙️ 2. Common copy settings

Setting What it does
Select Color Auto (Color/B&W) copies color pages in color and the rest in black & white. Choose Black & White to make sure nothing is charged as color.
Copy Ratio Enlarge or reduce. 100% is the same size as the original.
Select Paper Auto matches the paper to your original. Choose a tray to use a different size, for example 11×17.
Number of Copies Type the number on the keypad. Press C to clear it.
2-Sided Settings 1▸1-Sided is the default. Choose 1▸2-Sided to copy single-sided originals onto both sides of the paper, or 2▸2-Sided for double-sided originals.
Finishing Collate (sort into sets), or staple if the copier has a stapler.
Density Makes the copy lighter or darker.
Original Type Text/Photo works for most documents. Choose Photo for pictures or Text for faint text.
Check Settings Shows every setting you've changed before you start.
Reset The key on the right puts every setting back to the default.
💡 Tip: 2-sided and black & white copies cost less and use less paper.

🚪 3. Sign out

When you're finished, take your originals and tap Log Out at the top right of the screen (under your email address).

⚠️ Important: Always log out before you walk away. Until you do, anyone at the copier can make copies charged to your account. If the screen shows An original has been left on the platen glass, lift the lid and take your page.

🔧 4. Troubleshooting

Problem What to try

I can't find the right account Use the search box on the Select Account screen. If the account isn't available to you, contact the IT Help Desk.
I chose the wrong account Log out, sign in again, tap Access Device and choose the correct account.
Copies came out in color when I didn't need it Set Select Color to Black & White before you press Start.
Copies are too light or too dark Adjust Density, or change Original Type.
Paper jam or out of paper Follow the instructions on the copier screen. If it can't be cleared, report the copier's location to the IT Help Desk.
I want to scan, not copy Use Scan on the PaperCut screen instead (see Scan a document to email).
