Creating videos for YouTube
Youtube supports many of the most common video file types, including .mov, .mpeg4, .mp4, .avi, and .wmv.
This means that, regardless of what device you're using to create a video, there's likely a free program available to create a video. Here are some commonly used video programs by device:

Sharing a link to your YouTube video
In your uploaded video's settings, copy the link listed under "Share."
Important: Make sure that the dropdown box marked below (#2) is not set to "Private." If your video is private, your instructor will not be able to access the video. For more information on video privacy settings please see this guide.
Submitting a YouTube link to a Canvas assignment
NOTE: Be sure to follow the assignment's specific instructions, as they may be different from what's listed here.
Access your assignment in Canvas, then click "Submit Assignment."
Depending on the assignment settings, either paste the YouTube link in the "Website URL" box or upload a Word document with the link included, 2. add any comments you'd like to add (optional), 3. then click "Submit Assignment."
