Frequently Asked Questions

I thought that I finished everything, but I continue to receive periodic reminders to complete reauthorization.  Help!

If you are continuing to receive email reminders, that means there is someone assigned to you that has not been completed.  To find out who you still need to reauthorize:

  1. Go to the ReAuthorization portlet on myLETU
  2. Look for any that say 'Response Needed':Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    You only need to concern yourself with those that are in the left column.  The ones in the right column are option for you to complete and do not prompt email reminders.
  3. If there are not any that are immediately apparent to you, hit Ctrl+F and search on the page for 'Response Needed'.  Again, only look in the left column.
  4. If you find any 'Response Needed', click on that text to be taken to the questions that you need to answer about that individual's access.
  5. If, after completing steps 2 and 3, you are still unable to locate the record(s) that are causing you to receive the reminders, please put in a ticket using the service attached to this article.

Why are some of my direct reports on my list and not others?

The list that you see in the ReAuthorization portlet on myLETU is not a comprehensive list of all of your direct reports.  Individuals are only listed that have access to a system that requires annual reauthorization.  If someone is not on the list, that means that they do not have access to a system to requires reauthorization.

What if I am unfamiliar with the individual included in my list?

If you are unsure about who someone is or why they were included in your list to reauthorize, please put in a ticket using the service attached to this article.  Please include the employee's name and ID and the information that is given about them in your list.  Someone from IT will get back with you on the data that informed the assignment and work through next steps.

What if someone on my list no longer reports to me?

The data that feeds the ReAuthorization portlet comes from a variety sources and it is important that they are all up to date.  If someone that is listed in the portlet for you not longer reports to you, please put in a ticket using the service attached to this article.  Please include the individual's name and ID and the information that is given about them in your list.  If you know who they report to now, please include that as well.  Someone from IT will work with you through next steps to make sure that the data source is appropriately updated.  Once everything is updated, the new supervisor can be set up as an override supervisor and the employee will be added to their list as well.

I will be hiring someone soon.  How do I reauthorize them/get them added to my list?

The Annual Systems Re-Authorization Process is for current employees only. You will not need to reauthorize them until this time next year, when you will reauthorize the systems that will be granted during their new hire process.

What if a student worker works for me but the system access listed is not for their position with my office?

With the way that student worker information is populated, it isn't possible to know if the job/supervisor that is tied to the student matches up with the systems access that they are logged as having.  If the student worker does work for you/your office but does not use the system for their work in your office, please put in a ticket using the service attached to this article.  Please include the student worker's name and ID and the system that you are being asked to reauthorize.  If you happen to know which job/supervisor that the student has that access for, please include that as well.  Someone from IT will work with you through next steps to determine who would be most appropriate as their override supervisor and the student worker will be added to their list as well.

What if someone on my list is missing some access that they need?

If an someone on your list is missing access you feel is important for them to complete their job, please use one of the following services to make the request for additional access:
