  • Equipment Purchase Charges
    • Duplex (2-jack) Ethernet Network CableDrop: $300
      • Price is for typical installation and cabling. Some locations may cost more. Does not include activation of a network port (see below).
         
    • Network Port Activation: $150
      • Cost for activating a single network port where the cabling and duplex jack already exist but are not currently connected to a network switch.
         
    • IP Phone: $350+
      • Various models available beginning at $350/each. Contact us for the right fit for your need.
      • The cost above includes a required phone software license and the 8845 desk phone. If trading in or replacing an older phone, a new license is not needed and phones begin at $250 for the 8845 model and $325 for the 8865 model.
         
    • Remote IP Phone Service: $520 up-front + $75/yr
      • Use of an IP Phone from a remote (non-LETU) location is available. A specific phone model (8865) must be purchased starting at $425 if no existing phone with license exists, or $325 if replacing an existing phone with license.
      • A special network switch and cabling to run the phone off campus is required for a one-time cost of $95
      • There is an annual cost for remote phone service of $75.
      • For a brand-new phone, the total up-front costs are $520 and the total recurring costs are $75/yr.
         
    • Desktop Computer (new): $530+
      • Standard faculty/staff desktop configuration is $530 (not including monitor/speakers/keyboard/mice). Lab computers or special use cases may require a unique configuration which could increase price. Contact IT to discuss needs. 
         
    • Desktop Computer with 22" widescreen monitor (new): $630+
      • Standard faculty/staff desktop configuration with a 22" screen is $630 (does not include speaker). Lab computers or special use cases may require a unique configuration which could increase price. Contact IT to discuss needs.
         
    • CD copy: $4.00/ea.
      • IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
         
    • DVD copy: $5.00/ea.
      • IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
         
    • VHS to DVD Conversion: $5.00/ea.
      • IT staff will not duplicate any item that is copyrighted without the written permission of the copyright holder provided by the requestor.
    • Equipment Rental
      Prior notice of at least 3 business days is requested for equipment rentals. We will attempt to meet needs with less notice where possible.
       
      • Cell Phone/Mifi (Wifi Hotspot):
        • Domestic:
          • Voice/Data/Text Combo: $3/day or $65/month
            (400 minutes / Unlimited Data / Unlimited Texting)
        • International:
          • Voice Costs: In addition to the monthly rate above, calls are billed per minute based on prevailing local rates.

            • Data Costs: Currently international data is unlimited on this plan.
            • Text Message Costs: Text message rates for each country are in addition to above monthly fee and are described under the "Details" option at the link above
            • Other travel periods: For international travel, periods less than a month typically cost approximately the same as rate above.
        • Voice/Data Combo: $110/month
          • Other international options may be available depending on your destination. If you have a local contact where you are traveling we advise contacting them to ask what the most affordable local options are, particularly if you anticipate using a lot of voice minutes or text messages.
        • All cell phone rentals are based on availability. Contact us as far in advance as possible for best options.
           
      • Standard Desktop IP Phone: $35/month, $20/week, $5/day
        • Rate includes use of Ethernet port and pass-through port on phone if needed for computer.
        • Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new network cabling if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
        • Rental is based on availability. We have limited desktop phones available for rental. Long-term rentals (beyond 30 days) or high quantity rentals (more than a few phones) may require available purchase/rebate programs.
           
      • Remote Office Desktop IP Phone, Switch and Remote Connectivity: $45/month, $25/week, $5/day
        • Rate includes use of POE Ethernet switch, cable and required remote connectivity VPN licenses.
        • Phone must be returned to IT in as-rented condition when rental complete.
        • Rental is based on availability. We have limited desktop phones available for rental. Long-term rentals (beyond 30 days) or high quantity rentals (more than a few phones) may require available purchase/rebate programs.
      • Conference IP Phone: $35/month, $20/week, $5/day
        • Rate includes use of Ethernet port, no computer-pass-through is available on conference phones.
        • Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new network cabling if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
        • Rental is based on availability. We have limited conference phones available for rental. Long-term rentals (beyond 30 days) or high quantity rentals (more than a few phones) may require available purchase/rebate programs.
      • Ethernet Port: $30/month or $5/day
        • Rate does not include $150 charge to pull new duplex cable if no spare cable exists. No cable charge if unused cable exists.
           
      • Wireless Access:
        • Contact IT for rates for any events requiring wireless access for large numbers of users beyond incidental access or where wireless is key to event success.
        • Note: Guest wireless access is available for individuals or small groups of day-guests on an incidental basis - but for large events wishing to "provide" wireless access to large numbers of workers or non-LETU event participants - access rental rates may apply depending on level of expected support requirements and level of expected reliance on the system for event success or participant satisfaction.
        • Guest wireless may not be used without IT consultation for events where wireless access is a core need for event success or participant satisfaction.
           
      • Netbook/Notebook: $5/day
        • Based on availability. The computers come loaded only with Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Make appropriate preparations if other software is needed.
