MyFiles Retirement (Dec. 12, 2022)

Summary

The MyFiles service (myfiles.letu.edu) is being retired on Dec. 12, 2022. This article is intended to help you understand how you can access all your files without using MyFiles.

Details

For security and support reasons, the MyFiles service will be permanently shutdown on Dec. 12, 2022. MyFiles was used for remote/off-campus access to your My Documents folder as well as content on \\letnet.net\fs.

NOTE: Shutting down the MyFiles service will not remove any of your files. All your files will remain where they are.

For Faculty/Staff

If you use MyFiles to access your My Documents folder, you can choose either of the following options:

  1. Relocate your files to OneDrive (recommended):
    https://servicedesk.letu.edu/TDClient/2460/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=121726

    OR
     
  2. Leave your files where they are, then login to Remote Desktop Services and access your My Documents:
    https://servicedesk.letu.edu/TDClient/2460/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=131145

If you use MyFiles to access files on \\letnet.net\fs:

  1. Login to Remote Desktop Services to access \\letnet.net\fs:
    https://servicedesk.letu.edu/TDClient/2460/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=131145

For Students

If you use MyFiles to access your My Documents folder:

  1. Relocate your files to OneDrive (recommended):
    https://servicedesk.letu.edu/TDClient/2460/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=121726

If you use MyFiles to access files on \\letnet.net\fs:

  1. Remote access/off-campus access to \\letnet.net\fs will no longer be supported. \\letnet.net\fs is accessible from any computer lab computer on campus.
