Use this service to request the purchase of a new domain name
Details
Domain names are necessary for certain servers and services available external to LETU. Domain names take the form of domain.name, (eg. letu.edu).
Requirements for new domain names:
- A list of domain names
- IT helps make sure that publicly-accessible domain names are aligned with LETU's marketing goals. Requests for domain names require approval by the University Marketing & Communications department.
- A business justification
Service Level Agreement
Once the request is approved, the domain should be operational within 10 business days.
Costs
Domain names require an annual fee. This fee depends on the domain name requested and provider. Once the domain is requested and approved, IT will provide a cost estimate.
