Cognos Impromptu: Report an issue

PLEASE NOTE: at this time, we are in the process of transitioning active Cognos Impromptu reports to other supported platforms such as Cognos Analytics/Cognos Web or Reporting Services.  This may affect the resolution of your issue.


Cognos Impromptu is a database reporting tool, locally installed on university computers, utilized for accessing CX information.  When reporting an issue, describe, in as much detail, the exact nature of your issue and include the name of the report, the location of the report, the catalog it uses, and screenshots when applicable.


Possible issues can included (but are not limited to):

  • Data missing or not display correctly on a report
  • Issues accessing a report after acquiring a new computer
